Marketing Team Bootcamps

Not attracting all the business and clients you want and need?

Your sales team can be better marketers of your services, and it can be easier than you think. There are five main challenges in marketing a business:

If your sales team can do all of those things you don't need a Marketing Team Bootcamp. However, if you could do better, perhaps you need a little help. Many professionals and other service businesses struggle with marketing. They are not sure how it works, where to start or what to do.

Perhaps you've tried a number of marketing activities with mixed results. Or maybe your "word-of-mouth pipeline" has dried up and you don't know where to find your next clients. Or it could be that you know what to do and you just don't get around to it. You need some direction and some support.

If any of the above are true, you've come to the right place. We work with professional service sales teams who are serious about taking their business to the next level. They realize that the only way they're going to survive and thrive is by developing, implementing and practicing better marketing.

Marketing Team Bootcamp Format and Results

Marketing Team Bootcamps are held over two consecutive days in a conveniently-located establishment selected for the quality of its conferencing facilities. We cover each of the Seven Fast Track Steps in a 90– to 120-Minute session—four sessions per day. Approximately thirty minutes per session (where appropriate) is allowed for small-group exercises on the lesson just covered and feedback to the group.

Bootcamp sessions are highly interactive, ensuring that information and knowledge is absorbed without simply being ‘dumped’. Strong focus is directed to ensuring that the knowledge gained can be implemented in a pragmatic manner by participants. Each session includes information, discussion, team interaction and smaller-group exercises.

A strong element of accountability to the team is fostered in these bootcamps. Participants are assigned a Bootcamp Buddy; each Buddy then assumes accountability for the punctuality of the other at each session. A simple thing, but just watch how it affects the team-focus and the integrity of participants! Buddies may elect to continue their accountability partnership while implementing what they have learned at the Marketing Team Bootcamp.

Following the Bootcamp each Participant receives a follow-up 60 to 90 minute session with our Marketing Master Sergeant to review their Marketing Action Plans, tackle any remaining Marketing Mindset issues and set Marketing Goals. These sessions can be scheduled to suit individuals but must be conducted within ten working days of the Bootcamp.

Wrap-Up

About Your Marketing Team Bootcamp Master Sergeant

David Deakin, your Marketing Master Sergeant, is a Service Professional with over twenty years experience. Migrating from a successful Financial Management career to Information Technology in the mid-1990’s, David quickly felt the pain of incomplete marketing knowledge and implementation. His knowledge and experience grew as he developed Enterprise Applications Consulting practices for, among others, Oracle Corporation and Deloitte Consulting. It was a steep learning curve but then, as Practice Director for a startup IT Solutions business, he took it from annual revenues of around £500,000 to over £3,000,000 within two years. Clearly he was starting to get the hang of it! For the past five years David has worked with organisations that are struggling to instill coherence within the Sales, Sales Support and Fulfillment functions of their business. David’s dynamism in the classroom is legendary, and he is full of amusing but incisive anecdotes which make the material come alive for participants. Read more of David's bio here.
